Mentoring & Training: The Influence of the CTO

The most powerful tool in a training program is leading by example.  Have you chosen the right individuals to take on this great task? Are they mentoring as well as training?  CTO’s not only drive success in your center, but their style and influence significantly impacts a trainee’s career.

Speaker Bio:

Renee Whitcomb

Renee was with Marengo County 911 for approximately 2 years as a 911 Dispatcher. She then went to ALEA (Highway Patrol Communications) and was assigned to the Birmingham Post. While there, she served as a Communications Training Officer, Instructor, and worked in the Mobile Command Unit. Renee also received PCO (Police Communications Officer) of the Year and DPS Director’s Coin for accomplishments. She was then promoted again and reassigned to Headquarters in Montgomery, where she served as a Communications Supervisor. Renee continued her duties in Mobile Command on Special Details such as Mardi Gras, the 50th Anniversary Bridge Crossing (Selma), The Southern Legislative Conference, and other major events throughout the state. Now, Renee is now  the Communications Training Coordinator for Jefferson County 911 ECD, Inc.
