MINUTES: ALABAMA CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY NUMBER ASSOCIATION. QUARTERLY MEETING. ORANGE BEACH. ALABAMA.

OCTOBER 23. 1996

X. CALL TO ORDER

President Bill Brodeur called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M.

II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA;

Motion and 2nd to approve agenda, motion carried.

III. INTRODUCTION OF NEW MEMBERS AND GUEST:

President Brodeur welcomed all guests and lst time members to the meeting.

IV. PRESIDENT REMARKS:

Bill Brodeur thanked everyone for the support and confidence they gave him the last year.

V, ELECTION RESULTS AND INSTALLATION OF NEW OFFICERS:

A. Bill Meadows announced that Ron Sparks had been selected to fill the 2nd Vice President position.

B. Installation of new officers;

1. President Bill Brodeur swore in the new officers.

a. President, Seth Phelps.

b. 1st Vice President, Art Faulkner.

c. 2nd Vice President, Ron Sparks.

The meeting was turned over to the new President, Seth Phelps.

VI. APPROVAL, OF MINUTES FROM JULY MEETING

Motion and 2nd to approve, motion carried.

VII. APPROVAL. OF FINANCIAL REPORT:

President Phelps said he would give an updated and detailed report at the January meeting.

VIII. COMMITTEE REPORTS:

A. Conference chairman next year will be Art Faulkner.

B. Training: Jerry Jackson of Calhoun County advised anyone needing training tapes contact 237-9119.

C. Legislative Report; was given by Bill Meadows, he spoke briefly about old legislation and cellular revenue. He also discussed the best way to move on cellular legislation, and for the need of more input from membership.
