Calls from cellular type phones now exceed 50% of the total call volume in most 9-1-1 Centers. Phase II wireless allows the 9-1-1 center to receive the actual location of the caller on most calls. See http://www.fcc.gov/911/consumer.html for more information about wireless 9-1-1.

    Distributes 9-1-1 revenue from wireless phones and administers the cost recovery fund for carriers.
